Blessed John Paul II and the JPII Priests
On May 1, in the Year of Our Lord 2011, Pope John Paul II, who by popular acclaim is already called "John Paul the Great," was beatified. That means he is now "Blessed John Paul II" and needs just one more miracle before he can be canonized, that is, declared a saint. Blessed John Paul is also rightly called, "The Divine Mercy Pope," since he is the Pope he wrote so much about the mercy of God and bore witness to God's mercy. Furthermore, he was a contemporary to Saint Faustina Kowalska, whom he canonized. Both he and Saint Faustina and Saint Maximilian Kolbe came from Poland. Also, Blessed John Paul II changed the world in only nine days! Watch Nine Days That Changed the Worldand you will see what I mean. Furthermore, John Paul saw the priest as the defender of the dignity of the human person. He lived and reigned during a terrible period in which the human family and the human person were under vicious attack. Pope John Paul and the John Paul generation of priests defend both the family and the human person from the attack of the Culture of Death, whose origin is Satan. I am rightfully proud to be a JPII priest. Deo gratias!
